【内容简介】
瓦娃是一个7岁的傈僳族孩子，他对于姐姐娜香每天能和小伙伴一起溜索过江读书好生羡慕。妈妈坚持要娃娃等爸爸回来带着才可以溜索。可是在外打工的爸爸总也不回。
终于，没能抵抗住来自对岸的诱惑，瓦娃独自偷偷溜索过江了，看到了心仪已久的学校！没想到，瓦娃溜索过江的秘密居然被第一次来家访的聂老师戳破了！是聂老师送来的那双红雨鞋把瓦娃留在了家里。

This film made me reminiscent of my childhood in my home village of Inobong in Sabah, Malaysia. Growing up poor is not necessary an unhappy experience. In fact, we were a happy family going to school in the morning and farming in the afternoon till dusk. That left a strong motivation to work hard in life to achieve a more prosperous life later on. I still miss my childhood and the happy memories I had with my late mom and brother. This movie depicted it so well.

Thank you for this movie, this made me realize that being a good and kind-hearted teacher will bring hope to many lives of our children having hope to learn and that ready to embrace this chaotic world that we have.

What a touching story! How strong the bonding between the little kids is! Pathetic, tragic death of the sis, and the sad gloomy face of little Wawa rolls tears down.

I do not have to words to express my feelings after watching this movie. It brought tears to my eyes. What a performance by both children. I really admire the efforts of the moviemakers who made such a wonderful movie.

There are still places in Nepal where people still have to use a rope to cross the river. These few years, bridges have replaced the rope, but still much more has to be done, this is the story of many villages in Nepal, thank you for such a beautiful movie, those little kids acted beautifully, amazing movie ❤️

Love from Nepal. Very beautiful story, really touched my heart. The incident suffered by the pure villagers has shown in the film. Sister and brother’s immense love and tragedy are really great.

Can't thank Chinese cinema enough for this movie. It really struck a chord. I'm usually very emotional about kids so couldn't hold my tears.
